The journey from Stornoway is approximately 40 miles and takes one hour:

• Take the A859 from Stornoway towards Tarbert.
• After about 10 miles, when you reach Leurbost, turn right onto the A858 towards Garynahine.
• 10 miles later, at Garynahine, turn left onto the B8011 towards Uig and Bernera and follow this road for about 18 miles.
• When you reach Miavaig and the harbour, turn right at the sign for Valtos.
• Turn right again at the surgery and continue along this road until you get to Reef and the village post box.
• Turn right at the post box and continue up hill.
• The Barn at Reef is on your left.
